LOL, that quote from the Dell thread is the scariest thing I've seen! :)

As soon as I've had dinner, I'm going to do my scan (manual, visual) of the sectors that I follow.

I'll be suggesting possible shorts, as well as possible longs for any bounce or recovery.

I will be looking for some pretty simple criteria, so anyone who beleives in simple indicators can follow along:

1. I will be looking for short candidates among stocks that have broken their 50-day moving average, and are about 1/2-way to their 200-day moving averages.

2. I will be looking for long candidates among stocks that are still trading above their 50-day moving average, or that are encountering support as they attempt to break-down through their 50ma.

I stress that category 2. may be dangerous to buy before a bounce or recovery. Category 1. may actually give the best long results for a bounce, but category 2. should provide more safety, as they will be stocks that have survived the crash.
