When Bush took over 8 years ago back in 2001, $0.7 would buy you 1 euro. 8 years later and you needed $1.60 to buy 1 euro back in 2008. This was all during POS Bush and Cheney's 8 years.

So I don't know why all of a sudden they are talking about the destruction of the dollar when it has already happened during the last 8 years. Maybe when we need $3 to buy 1 euro then I would say they have a point. At this current point we only need $1.40 and that is less than what we needed back in 2008 with $1.60.

I think Obama is preparing the people for hard times. His talking about being broke can't be denied. He said it publicly to pave the way for draconian measures that will have to be taken. The government wants out of medicare and other social welfare programs, and the reason is because there is no money. So, guess who will pick up the slack?

It doesn't bode well for the common folk.
