There were one or two times we saw just the PA and not one of the surgeons.

When I had a cardioversion for Afib, the Cardio's asst who saw me afterward was a PA. She was willing to be open with me about the Cardios in the department. After talking to her, I realized I didn't want a normal heart consult with any of them.

They were top Doctors, but all Cath Lab oriented. Typical attitude was "if you don't need a procedure, why are you wasting my time?" Stayed with a PC Doctor for preventative tests and scripts.
