The video was a hoot, all the workers huddled and freezing trying to stay warm outside their former place of business where they used to be happy, warm and appreciated. Too bad they fell for old union bromides.

Apparently, you didn't read the article:

"The role of the strike is an excuse, I believe, to close it down," he said. "One of the owners of the company, the president Blaine Kunkel, mentioned on several occasions that if he couldn't have everything his way he will close the company down."

Typical......the owner wanted everything his way.....there was no room for compromise.

"The most contentious company demand was the elimination of seniority provisions, something the union couldn't agree to, Cahill said."

Seniority has been recognized for decades as an employee benefit......suddenly the owner wanted to change that policy.

"Even with the Saskatoon operation shut down, a dispute between former workers and the company continues. Cahill and other workers are fighting to get the severance pay they say the company stills owes them."

Typical, even now the employer continues to try to screw his employees. And then you all wonder why there are unions.

This is a classic example of why unions were formed.......to deal with capricious, self serving employers like the butthole in this story.
