With regard to the loans from the US for infrastructure projects, their fate is unknown. I have never been able to verify what happened and suspect that German borrowers defaulted.

As far as I know, the crushing reparations from WW I were eased a bit after the hyperinflation of 1923 and were not the primary obstacle to prosperity in 1933.
