As long as there is demand for those workers at a certain price point and our borders don't stop them (and never will, not enough) those workers will be hired and employed in the U.S. We can legalize it and get the taxes or we can go on living in the lah-lah fantasyland we inhabit now, replete with swaggering politicians and growing fiscal holes.

Ditto marijuana.

When CEOs are sent to jail for importing and employing illegal immigrants, I will take the US immigration policy seriously. It is currently, and has been, a sham.
