Survivalist acting according Protestant Ethic people mindset. Let's build a Noah's arch. We survive and the incautious would perish. There will be a renewal and the prepared minds will inherit the land. As you can see there must be some kind of punishment.

That is not how it works. Survivalism is Dawrin-based. In today's urban-modern environment, it will be the most knowlegeable who will survive and the most weak who will perish will be the ignorant and incautious

What survivalist should do. Read. Read. Read. Make a real crash course on the state of economy. How it come to that end. What course of actions would be best suited.

Compare with other parts of the world where that already happened and what the outcomes were.

It won't happen like the survivalist are imagining in that article. It will be a slowly downhill over a period of a decade.

People involved will not see it or even feel it. Only people coming from abroad will notice how things are slowly sliding down. I saw that in Brazil 'Lost Decade' when I would come from Nigeria for a visit.
