I'm 5'4" and I jog in water 45" deep. I walk most successfully at that depth or a couple of inches shallower. For jogging, I can go up about two inches. After that, forward momentum is seriously reduced and there's a floating factor in play. Can't jog in anything less that 45" because there's too much impact on my knees. At my pool there are walkers at various depths that generally correlate with height although not always.

I offer this as a frame of reference...
