Sergio: Just got done watching both the Nightly business report and CNBC Special Report. No flight to Gold. Thats good!
Most Currencies have stabilized. All Markets are still down big, although the Hong Kong exchange has moved up a bit off its low for the day. Hong Kong is in their Lunch break right now.

Most people they are interviewing are saying that this is going to be a short term correction. Many point to the fact that it hit hard and fast, as accually being good. Some have mentioned the short covering giving the US markets a lift.
Most agree the US Markets will open moving down but some, if not most, expect an interday recovery.

Some of the so called experts are already talking about the many good bargin buys out their.

They just menetioned that Hong Kong has recovered a bit just before the Lunch timeclose but will reopen in about 15 mins .

Looks like we are going to have even lower T Bonds and Bill rates.

PS: Lets go with the Pick of the week. Its a good long term hold like all our picks.

Sergio,

I agree with your basic position. The most important bear signal will be given off first by what happens in the Japan market. The confirmation will be a flight to gold.

If that happens our key stocks may still be o.k. but then we will all pause . . . the real bargins will then be next week. Or we all start shorting the real losers.

This is not a crash but it may scare the mutual fund crowd and the institutions. Even then its hard to see the correction going beyond 10 or 12%. Doug will probably give us the most logical senario in the early A.M.

Hey our picks held up very well. I'm not secure, but I'm not unhappy.
Maybe its the LKA without the CELL-RAY.

The discussion in early morning will be interesting. See you then.

Sergio,

OK, keep your eye on Newmont Mining! A good gold stock which dropped all ready due to the recent devaluation of gold! A gold lining here somewhere......:)

Sergio,

Gold would not be a signal until it hits 375/oz. This is just a correction people.

Sergio:

Re: Keeping an eye on gold, and investors flock there, it's bearish.
Gold was the so-called "flight to quality"; it would be hard to find anyone who would still hold with that.
