If blackjack were this lousy Vegas would be empty. I'm sure at the racetrack the house take is much lower as well, but since I don't bet I don't know. At any rate, lotto is at best a regressive "stupid tax" that is disproportionately and cynically targeted at the people that least able to benefit from it.
