Nadine, you are obviously one of the Palin-can-do-no wrong types.

She flubbed the interviews, she proved she doesn't read, she was incredibly ill-informed, etc., and the voters saw right through it despite the force-feeding she got after her initial screw ups. She was, in short, an accident put in motion by McCain's almost mystic belief that he could look into her eyes and get to her nature without the need of a thorough vetting.

She will continue to entertain, but she's finished on a national level because the numbers don't lie. She cannot be a Presidential contender and no rational politician would dream of putting her on a ticket.

The subject is closed to me, except when I see a suggestion that Newt would put her on his ticket. Perhaps he might, he has enough brains to power both of them and his problems are now too far in the past. Hers are recent and still developing.

Stay tuned....

You nailed it!

McCain's campaign and the GOP convention were looking hopeless. When he chose Palin, it was the single biggest shot in the arm for the GOP campaign. Which is precisely why the democrats IMMEDIATELY RUSHED several plane loads of lawyers and assorted liberal jerks to Alaska looking for dirt and some way to derail her popularity with the Red Staters plus any abused Hillary Clinton voters. They were afraid as hell of Palin's potential strength in getting votes in the lower 48.

They remain so or wouldn't be chronicling her and the family to this day.

I hope she gets another chance, especially at the VP slot.

Gingrich has some good conservative ideas but carries plenty of baggage himself. Otherwise, he would have been in the '08 race IMO.

Whoever is going to beat Obama must be willing to confront him and his deeds directly and repeatedly. McCain failed miserably in confronting Obama. He was too worried about being PC, not to mention being stubborn as a mule.

Bingo, Nadine...I'm not sure men can understand the shopping bit...but women sure can...Jaques Penne' is just fine for casual dress around the house, or yard, or heck even the grocery store. But look what all the Leftie chicks wear (even the non-chicks) ...Pelosi's clothes cost a fortune, and her jewelry costs a large one! So do Hillary's... Most men wouldn't know a St John knit if it was the only thing in the closet. It's all about image, so some of the lefties tell us. Palin is a good deal smarter than some of the men in Congress....Durbin, Murtha, Kerry, Sharpton, and the list goes on.

Palin is a breath of fresh air.
