I'd like to visit Gettysburg, the first three President's homes, Terrytown (I was there a couple of yrs ago, but just passing through) and other Revolutionary sites. I'd love to spend about 1/2 a yr at the Smithsonian and the other at the National Archives.

There was a period when I was bi-coastal - had a place in L.A. and another in WDC. I took advantage of the time there to see as much as I could. My favorites are:

Antietam Battlefield
Fredricksburg Battlefield
Gettysburg
All the Smithsonian museums
Harper's Ferry
Hiking in Blue Ridge Mountains
Chancellorville
Tour of the White House
Taking friends to all the monuments
Concert at the Kennedy Center
Taking my folks to Arlington, Vietnam Memorial, Lincoln, Jefferson and Washington Monuments
All the restaurants on Rt 7
Leesburg
Playing golf at Congressional
Sailing on the Chesapeake
