See another [yet another] example of ElM getting it wrong. I read that there were two of them [Arnolds] and was commenting on the 12 volumes of history bloke which I assumed was the one you meant since you were going on about history.

My offspring are knowledgeable enough as knowledge goes. We are all limited to about a kilogram of it. I'm one for self-determination with lots of support as and when required. People have to construct their own reality as they grow and cannot have it imposed on them as each imposition lessens the strength of their confidence in their own abilities and also reduces their own abilities. So I did not line them up each morning for imposed "lessons from history". There was plenty of present and future to be going on with.

The same applies to our grandchildren who are here today.

You, claiming to be an arrow of time bloke, should be aware of that, and that you can't go back, and that any present is a faint resemblance of bygone times even if the buildings look the same. It's a non-stop real-time 3D one-time-only experiment, with fatal consequences for mistakes, relentless and merciless. It is not a rehearsal. This is life and you are in it, coming ready or not.
