OK, but he asserted that capitalism was built on the idea that population would grow and land prices rise... Capitalism is perfectly possibly in the absence of population growth and I argue in the absence of economic growth too (greenish leftists usually assert it isn't and a quick discussion with them usually reveals that they don't understand the idea of profit or return on capital). Also capitalism is mainly about making money off things other than land. Before, capitalism the main source of wealth was land.
