Unless Obama picked Orrin Hatch, the segment of wingers who want a cause to shriek about would have moved to flank speed and battle stations regardless. Now we get several weeks of tiresome and largely irrelevant exaggerated and distorted accusations; as long as there is no filibuster, it should be a done deal.

If there is, the Republican reputation in the Hispanic community will continue along its current trend.
