I think one conclusion we can make from Schacht experience is that govt should not be given arbitrary power over property of individual...there is no way to limit such power.

The most optimistic or positive thing one could say about Schact is that he did not understand that in supporting nazi political structure it would lead to massive use of power of govt against german citizens and citizens of other nations..in this sense at best he was naive...and it seems unlikely he was really that naive, apoligists for his actions and policies are just that...apologies....

the same problem exists with his view that ..intelligent central banking... can exist, ie if only the power is not abused, then it will work...the fact is, we can count on the fact that the power will be abused by the govt and the solution is to avoid giving govt that power.
