The legislature is the people....laws are not customarily passed by referendum of the people.... I don't think the country is more conservative...but it isn't any less conservative and the demise of the GOP has been vastly overstated by wishful thinking of pinhead types. Political fortunes have always been cyclical. J.

Legislature but not the people. That was my point, the country is more conservatives. Lib judges and legislatures won't let the people vote on it,like a state constitutional amendment The people voted for Obama, a liberal candidate, with the largest numbers in decades. You don't have an argument.
