Its funny--the two of us have totally different views on this but i cant disagree with much of the analysis although i dont know how you can impose a solution from outside on both parties. Just to clarify a few points in the article.
1. 1967 settlements was a tactic used by labor to get the arabs off of square one after their 1967 defeat. Surely folks would negotiate before allowing their land to be settled on. But as always, the israelis didnt figure on arab rejectionism to the point of injuring their own cause.
2. Netanyahu and the arabs always offers the chance of being like nixon and china or like sadat for that matter in forging relations with israel. One day he might surprise you and get on a plane and fly to Saudi Arabia. I do agree with you that the ball is in his court.

Now lets have chris chime in how i am a dual loyalty israeli plant.

If America and the world were to go into Israel and FORCE them to depopulate settlements, get back on their legal side of the green line or negotiate fair land deals, we could have peace in the ME. It would completely negate the Islamic terrorists main argument.

Where what we do now, accepting it, tacitly SUPPORTING it, reinforces their argument.
