I think a "demonstration" blast - say blow up Mt. Fuji?, would have done the trick without killing hundreds of thousands of Japanese.

Brumar, that's amazing. Jon Stewart thinks the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima was "criminal" because the Japanese were not warned. I'm sure the 1.5 billion citizens of China, Taiwan, and Korea will agree ... NOT Hmmmm.......an eye for an eye. You're more an Old Testament kind of guy, aren't you? If so, do you believe in Jesus?
