What good would raising taxes do ?? The hard workers will leave and the idiot dems in the state house will just spend more. So then what, raise taxes again and then the idiot dems in the state house will just spend more until? what 105% taxation on everyone ?

Bentway, you and all of the other liberals outside of CA share the same flawed impression of our state, that there just isn't enough tax revenue.

Listening to you bozos, one would think that CA is one of the lowest taxed states in the union thanks to Prop. 13, but that just isn't the case. The business climate here is so hostile that working-class people are moving out, but the social services are so generous that illegal immigrants move in and deadbeats like yourself stick around.

Besides, it's real easy to call B.S. on people like Krugman who advocate repealing Prop. 13 and raising taxes with a simple majority. The crisis situation that you are hoping for would only happen much sooner, and the citizens of CA will finally realize just how much they have to pay for all of their feel-good liberalism that they voted in over the years.

But I'm sure that's an "inconvenient truth" that you and Tejek don't have to deal with. At least until the same mistakes are repeated on a federal scale ...
