I never got involved with those guys, as I wasn't playing those games. It looks like the ADVFN guys are either complicit or naive in thinking this isn't going to end badly. Their CEO is poo-poing what went down with Matt.

The pumping in some penny stock threads back in 1999/2000 was so transparent sometimes as to be absolutely hilarious. This was one of my favorite threads from back then: Subject 24383 The thread was started by the company's president (There's the first warning sign). He later ends up talking to his Investor Relations officer (in a TOO thinly veiled incognito) about how great the company and their products and their stock was (they no longer exist of course): Message 8379617 Message 8399531 Message 8399928 ...until they got busted: Message 8412646 Message 8423275 These guys had all the ethics and style of your typical Nigerian e-mail scam artist.
