To start with and put simply I htink the right wing gets just abotu everythign wrong. My challenege to you. Name just one major issue of the 20th century where the conservatives were right and the liberals were wrong. Just one issue!! All my programs worked very well and wo of thme are still in effect 30 years later, Here is where you and many are making a huge mistake. There are logical humanitarian ways of doing things that make sense. For 30years I have wateched the right wing do just about everything wrong. Not ideology, just stupid wrong. Take gay marriage e.g. The right wing doesn't even understand that gays are born that way and as such the CONSTITUION requires they be treated equally under the law. The right wing also mostly does not believe in evolution which is fact, so how can they make rational decisions accordingly. If one gets the premise (equation) wrong to begin with, then everythign they accordingly will e wrong. Less: "There is a great deal that is worthy of conservation. Without effective conservative measures, society would fall into chaotic turmoil. Likewise, there is constant need for change and renewal via effective liberal innovation."" Koan: name something! Less: The republican party could disintegrate but there will always be a range of view points from the conservative extreme to the liberal extreme. Koan: I see it more as good ideas versus bad ideas. "I like ativist judges. IN the words of the great Earl Warren: it does not matter what the law is it matters what is just." Justice is supreme and the Supremes should know that better than anyone but they also must be loyal to their oaths of office lest the body of the Supreme Court lose credibility. That has happened in the past when pushing popular movements like 'separate but equal,' instead of judging on the basis of law. We have law making bodies. Judges should let them do their job, if the law makers screw up, the judges get to give them a smack.
