I am all for it. We cant have 60% of the population paying no federal tax or they will want to keep on spending.I, for one, work 70 hours a week and will likely go into semi-retirement earlier than planed depending on the new tax rates

THEY may get a national sales tax through, further concentrating federal over state and local powers, short circuiting local revenue base, as all empires must try, to more efficiently extract goodness from its serfs.

THEY will most assuredly not reduce spending whether or not more taxes are collected by more means via more channels, because THEY are wanting to increase revenue, from you, and spend more, on THEMSELVES.

believing otherwise will prove tragically naive and irresponsibly unwise, best left to evil ignorant democrats and unwise evil republicans.

more taxes will not encourage savings. they will merely crush more enterprise, and subject all to the rule of evil and arbitration of the universal unified data base.

if taxation, and ever more efficiency in doing so, are the ways to salvation, then the reason for freedom kowloon, money rock hong kong, liberty isle macau, hedonic city monaco, still-secret switzerland, under-attack lichtenstein, do-as-you-please bvi, etc would be no more.

of all of the above rebellion bases, forward and hinterland, i expect survival for the rebellion only in kowloon, on hong kong and macau, pirate rocks all, and i expect the rest of the rebellion bases to perish, crushed by the evil empire and its minions, ushering a darker world where tax serfs wait for retirement redemption via earlier graves.
