Ted, perhaps you missed the studies showing that CA government has been growing per capita spending, even after accounting for inflation. This has been happening over the past 1.5 decades.

You can't look at one side of the equation. What are the needs of the population? Are those needs being met? Is the state able to maintain its infrastructure? Those things are not happening......that's why I felt the quality of life was declining.
