RE: I'm divided on the collar issue. Sometimes it's best to get the damage over and done with.

I have never believed in this "collar" thingy. I mean, for Heaven's sake, can't we see that it is a little bit like trying to stop diarrhea by hand?

And at least some of us might know how well that method works! ;-) It only serves to heighten the tension further! And when the collar(hand) is removed, the selling(sh*t) happens with a much more intense force!

That is what happened when we went down from minus 350 to minus 550 in about 25 minutes today -- uncontrolled diarrhea. :-)

Dipy.

shane;

before the program trading, computerized selling programs individual investors had a chance to play catchup to the institutions; I just feel that the stops enable little guys to have a chance trading in and out.

prognostications---LSI should test the high teens the DOW will be down big time this morning maybe -350 then recover @ the close to lead Aust--New Zeal--HK ect on a rally tomorrow that will keep on coming around the globe---" my version of the Elliot wave theory"....gregor

BTW---call me stupid but I've been in a lot of 401K cash since March and put in my orders last night to a fully invested position--mostly tech stocks---I think I'll be OK---hope your are weathering well..
