"stand with you elbow to elbow in the struggle to contribute to the general well being of all."

Notice I avoided using the term well fare and used general well being in it's stead. Whether talking about technical innovation or personal care the quotes above should apply equally. The industry of social work has long been fouled by political radicals and social engineers who are more into extreme left wing socialism than they are into providing services that contribute to the well being of society and it's members.

There is no doubt there are individuals who would not be able to function well without beneficial services of government programs and if that was truly what our social services system was all about, I would not be such a critic. tejek's challenge was on the basis of someone who had worked at least six months in the system because that person would have their eyes opened. I will make the same challenge, bring me someone who is responsible, productive and not suffering from debilitating personal issues who has worked within that system for six months or more and they will confirm my critical commentary.

The fact that tejek is unwilling to recognize any faults in the system should be the first bell to alert any thinking person that there is cause to look into it further.

Less, I'm sure both you and Ted are correct, except for Ted's ridiculous notion that social work is more important than producing widgets.

LOL. You're funny.
