LOL Maybe Obama didn't know that either. How can anyone have not known troops have been in Korea and Japan since the wars end in both places. The troops in Korea have always been referenced as a "trip wire" in all discussions of North Korean aggression I have ever heard.

Tonite I learned that we have troops not only in S. Korea but in Japan as well. 25k in S.Korea; 35k in Japan

Really? That is news to you?

Troops in Japan? Yes. Not Korea.

Personally, I would not want to be stationed in Korea for love or money....especially with the piss ant dictator to the north pushing the envelope and ready, willing and able to test the nerve of a new admin that is perceived to be weak.

Its not about testing Obama. What's happening in N. Korea is a power struggle. Kim Jong-il is ill and there is a fight brewing over who will take over. The military is fighting with his son and others. While the struggle proceeds and the gov't is weak, they want outsiders to stay away. China may have to step in.
