hk has a 16.5% corporate tax for on-shore income, thus freeing up the goodness which results from overseas customers served by china factories, and great for those with china factories and has a 15% personal income tax on on-shore service compensation, thus liberating the goodness resulting from on-shore interest and dividend income, off-shore compensation for off shore service, etc etc, and so good for those without on-shore salary income so, yes, a lot of services, should one choose to participate, are free of course, hk govt had also and always had a 'high real estate' policy whereby govt land (100% of all non-spoken for land, and land coming off-lease hold) is sold to private developers for enormous sums resulting in not inexpensive residences, etc etc but of course such a policy results in high personal savings and real estate investment, for the sure bet. altogether rather clever, especially in view that most leaseholds go for between 99 and 999 years, so hardly felt by each generation and individual holder of portfolio of real estate. besides, in obama's case we are hardly talking high taxes, but very extremely high taxes in the near-enough but sad future, plus outrageous retirement-busting stagflation. are we not? thus yes, much goodness can effectively be free if one is just astutely honest about what is actually going on and all agree by true expression of genuine free will of society. you do see the wisdom, do you not, or are you a communist in democrat's skin, either way, both are not good.
