Banking thoughts...

U.S. Congressman Jerrold Nadler said that in addition to the actions so far, the government should take a sizable amount, about $100 million, and create new banks that would attract private investment.

"An alternative, if that's too radical, is to take $50 billion or $100 billion and fund the existing small and regional banks," he said. "These banks then could supply a lot of credit to the system while you figure out what to do with the Bank of Americas (BAC.N) and the Citigroups (C.N) and other banks that have these toxic assets on their books."

More from that ballet critic. Here's the short version ...

>> To recap: Judge Sonia Sotomayor is a stealth missile fired from the Obama silo--a Marxist monarchist glorified maid whose Supreme Court nomination the hamstrung geldings of the Republican Party are unable to defeat, no matter how beet-red they get.

And to think, it's not even June yet. The distance from the starting block to dementia gets shorter for conservatives with every go-round--a couple of hop-steps and they're already into the alternative universe they call home. <<
