Liberalas always wanted to allow judges to decide sentences on the facts of the case (qithin boundaries) and the right wing always wanted harsh set sentences without allowing jusges to take the facts into consideration. Like empathy. That approach fails to recognize empathy and realative facts. And peope without empathy will see it as fine. But we liberals embrace our empathy. And the people with empathy are now in power and telling those without empathy to go jump in the lake-lol.
