I know. Curious isn't it?

The BDI action is in contradiction to numerous reports of huge fleets of idle vessels parked near Singapore and other ports. I have noticed more standing idle in the Hudson here in NY, but that seems to happen for no apparent reason periodically.

1) Could the idle ships be mostly container carriers?

2) There always idle ships in the Hudson. They are usually waiting to load or unload at Port Newark, Port Elizabeth, or the refineries.
