I always wonder about the very same thing with dying dictators. If they are hateful enough, they could just push a button, if they had that sole power.

the fact that transition is coming makes me more worried. ever hear of dying animal lashing out? If he has months to live, what the hell, go to war. I dont know what will happen but neither do you.

I have a strong belief that most people want to live....even dying people hope there will be a last minute reprieve and hold on as long as they can. Its the nature of the ego. And all the fears you express about other countries going on the attack is an expression of your ego fearful of its own death. That fear tends to be irrational. That's why I don't pay it a lot of attention. And just for the record, I try not to pay too much attention to my own fears as well.....although they tend to be much more compelling.

The people in NK fighting over Kim's succession want very much to live and enjoy the power they hope to gain. The last thing they want to do is start a war. If its going to come, it will be later and not while the transition is happening.
