RDW,
wow, I'm just catching up on what happened with your cousin. He really is a hero.

Some of the media excesses I think are due to the fact that Americans seem to really need heros these days. Your cousin is a ideal example of a hero. I'm sure we all want him and his family to recover fully, and go back to the life he loves.

Note I said "some" above. I surely wouldn't pretend that all reporters are above board...if they were, we would have the full story of events that affect all of our lives, instead of the half truth, omissions, and things non-mentioned that should be.

How is he doing this last few days? Those bones are going to take quite a bit of time to heal.... I can't even imagine how much pain he is in....the Docs told me when I fell, trashed my knee and broke my arm in 6 places that bone pain is the worst. Gotta admit...it is miserable...but I found out in Dec there was something worse....when a nerve in the spinal column is pinched (compressed) for a couple different reasons happening at the same time...THAT was bad. Don't want to do that again!

Just tell him that the folks on SI that know about him are sending prayers and lots of good thoughts to both he and his family!!
