Blowing a nation off the map sounds very seroius. <g>

Of course it is, but isn't that what iran is already threatening to do with Israel? How come you react to my unreal and illegitimate suggestion but ignore iran's very real and legitimate threat? This is what the world is doing... do you not see the double standard here? TIA

I suppose part of the issue is understanding that you weren't serious. How was I to know?

As for Iran, you are absolutely convinced they will destroy Israel given the chance. Since Israel is a nuclear power itself (and has delivery capability greater than Iran's)....Iran's threat has to also be looked at in the light of Mutual Assured Destruction. If they want to commit national suicide, they will carry out that threat. Most Iranians probably arent' ready to do so....

So, threats are threats and saber rattling is saber rattling.....but I suspect the reality of retaliation plays a part in evenual decisions. Now, Iran with a bomb is not a good thing, don't get me wrong. perhaps our middle east invasion back in 2002 should have been further east? Is that the kind of actions you feel warranted? Did we go after the wrong target back in the "axis of evil" days?
