I was talking about Sotomayor's particular set of experiences that would enhance the quality of her judgement. I don't know of many cases where people go from dire poverty to the pinnacle of academic and professional success. How could anyone argue that that kind experience does not enhance and improve judgement especially for the kind of skills needed on the SC.
