Robert, they can calculate well enough to know that welfare is an excellent career path for women having children if their alternatives pay less.

Not only do they get a lifestyle without having to go to work, they get the pleasure of having a family and probably some care in old age and help in the meantime.

Forced sterilization is NOT the answer. That's just more of Big Brother criminal bossiness. The answer is the women keeping their legs together if they don't want to have children. Don't pay them to have children and they'll be more circumspect about pregnancy.

If they don't have a good contract, including cash up front, with the man who wishes to impregnate them, then they had better be ready for some sorry times. It's an eons-old issue going back to chimps and is why marriage was invented in the first place.
