So being gay is a sexual dysfunction, Brumar? My own view is that it is genetic. It's no accident that homosexuals have consistently remained 10% of the population during recorded history. That would point to a genetic factor, not a willful choice to be aberrant.

So what's next? Would you start claiming that the shortest 10% of the population and the tallest 10% are dysfunctional height-wise and as such should be denied basic rights such as civil unions and the ability to see loved ones in hospitals etc?

That whole debate makes no sense to me. Live and let live and stop your moralizing. The GOP has proven without a shadow of a doubt that they simply do not hold the moral high ground. Torture anyone? Should we start torturing gay people? I'm sure that would fit the bill, eh? Kill two birds with one stone. Get your torture fix and punish those silly gays at the same time, eh?

BTW, what does any of this have to do with the politics of energy?

Some sexual disfunction is moral in your view and some is beyond the pale.

God will ultimately judge moral, not Brumar. Legal is a different issue.

I'm sure you've had some bizarre professors in your time, but what I said is still true.

It's not. I was trying to have an interesting conversation... doesn't work with you.

Of course, there are people who go in for unnatural things, like homosexuality and incest. Homosexuality and incest therefore are similar in that respect.

Have you spent any time with dogs? Homo and incest are not unnatural to them. Humans have learned that certain activities are less productive, and have established taboos, over 1000's of years to protect and promote the species.

You can argue that homo activity is bad for the species if you want... not sure you will get a big audience. Incest yes, it is very harmful for the human species.

The rest is just moralizing. You projecting your fears. If homo activity doesn't hurt society then the fear will die with you. Some are slower to intellectually accept reality... been that way forever.

Why do you think we fear rats more than squirrels? Something inherently different between the two animals?
