LOL. Yes, I do think we can solve all of our problems with American ingenuity and investment. You are a throwback who doesn't think in terms of solutions and you have no imagination, except when it comes to how to criticize the ingenuity of Americans.

The hard truth that you fail to accept is that there is no level playing field in the energy industry. Oil and coal have an overwhelming advantage that needs to be rectified to get to a level playing field. And that terrifies you, because when we do get to a level playing field renewable energy will be cost competitive and that will mean less use of oil and coal. So much for your favorite two energy sources.

By stifle, I mean you and the GOP will do anything to make sure that doesn't happen. What lunacy. China is spending half a trillion to invest in renewable energy and you still want to continue with the oil based economy and starve the renewable energy industry of investment. That's not just lunacy, it is plain stupidity.

You are like the guy who wants to keep making 8 track players when the world is now consuming music on their iPods. Go learn something new, James. You are hopelessly out of touch with trend forecasting.
