Poor people are not criminals in any causal sense. It's just correlation. Correlation is not causation.

As Bernie Madoff showed, crime is in the mind, not the poverty. Plenty of people see crime being committed by the $trillion now and few of the recipients are needing crusts of bread to survive on.
