Still the 'right is right', he has to reduce the deficit and the debt. If he doesn't do that he will be a failure. And we will have inflation, or stagnation as you say, not much difference.

He also has to stop having date nites with his wife:

As the motorcade left the West Village and drove up Sixth Avenue to the theater, crowds of people, at times about eight deep, gathered on the sidewalks of the blockaded streets to wave as the Obamas passed. Some cheered. Cab drivers opened their doors and stood on the frames of their taxis to glimpse the president and first lady.

The Obamas left the theater after the play and were greeted by more cheers from enthusiastic bystanders along New York streets as they headed back for the flight to Washington.

>> maybe more because no one, anywhere at any time, has come into such a nightmare.

Perhaps a nightmare, perhaps not. Obviously, because of Bush's actions just before leaving office, the financial disaster was averted.

Or was it just not as big as everyone (including Bush) made it out to be?

We'll never know. What we do know is that Obama has had nothing, whatsoever to do with avoiding it.

You have to give him credit, though. He has great luck in stumbling into it. His great luck is bad misfortune for the American public, however.
