Climate change kills about 315,000 people a year through hunger, sickness and weather disasters, and the annual death toll is expected to rise to half a million by 2030, a report said on Friday. The study is by the Global Humanitarian Forum, whose president is none other than Kofi Annan of oil-for-food scam fame. He shamelessly lies: Climate change is the greatest emerging humanitarian challenge of our time, causing suffering to hundreds of millions of people worldwide. The first hit and worst affected are the world's poorest groups, and yet they have done least to cause the problem. Wait: I thought this fictitious climate crisis was caused by pollution. Why not send the bill to China, India, and Brazil? Travelers will attest the air is much easier to breathe in the USA, a country wealthy enough (for now) to afford the luxury of environmental safeguards. Annan's objective is the same as when he was top bureauweenie in the gang of corrupt dictators known as the United Nations: to thwart and steal from productive Americans — this time with an economic suicide pact to be signed in Copenhagen. Listen to him crank up the hyperbole: Copenhagen needs to be the most ambitious international agreement ever negotiated. The alternative is mass starvation, mass migration and mass sickness. International climate crusaders need to loot America quickly, before the last of our wealth goes up in a puff of Hope and Change. Barbara Stocking, chief executive of Oxfam in Britain and a GHF board member, makes clear what Copenhagen is all about: Funding from rich countries to help the poor and vulnerable adapt to climate change is not even 1 percent of what is needed. This glaring injustice must be addressed at Copenhagen in December. When moonbat thugs haul out the word "injustice," grab hold of your wallet with both hands. moonbattery.com
