I watched my father die a slow agonizing death from lung cancer, he was 54. He did not respond to pain medication, the caner spread to his shoulder, bones and then his spine and who knows where else. Close to the end of life he was bed ridden for 2 months, could not move, just his neck a bit and his fingers, our family took shifts caring for him, the nurses were too busy to give him the constant help he needed, so we were giving him water and trying to make him feel more comfortable, my shift was a night, every night I came in for my watch, he told me I want to die. It ripped my f##kin guts out knowing there was nothing I could do to stop his pain. The palliative care doctor was great, but he would still not respond to any of the meds they gave him to try and get rid of some of the pain. He died about 6 months after diagnoses. Then my grand mother died of colon cancer, a month or two later, then one of our former employees and friend died of colon cancer, I went up to see him a week before he died, he was in no pain, he was 41. When I spoke to GAP, after the NCI does these initial tests, they will proceed to mouse testing and then human trials. I have been burned bad in the past by drug stocks, sure things that were going to cure disease, but they fell apart, and the prices crashed. I am pissed at myself for buying too soon. I told someone on this thread in a PM I thought GAP was going to see mid teens, but I got greedy and bot at 21 cents.
