That whole issue of her being a racist is a red herring. She was making a simple, valid point regarding perspective. I understand but that doesn't stop the media from playing it up and putting the issue at question. We see that all the time with the attention the Cheneys and Rushs get. Both are extreme wingers and yet, they are treated in the press like they are moderate Rs. By pointing out every time one of these idiots makes the claim that Sotomayor is a racist, the media gives the issue some legitimacy.
