"GOVERNMENT ISN'T SCARY, BUT TAXES STILL ARE."

Which suggests to me that Obama needs to quietly shift our massive military spending to domestic spending, without raising taxes on anyone but the wealthy.

The vast majority of Americans have NO CLUE that we spend as much as the rest of the entire world on our military anyway. They just assume we probably spend around as much as China or Russia, or maybe a little more to fight terrorism.

Do this experiment. As you're out and about, ask random people to rank military spending of US, China and Russia. When they've rendered their verdict, ask them if they knew we spend as much as China, Russia and the every other country on Earth combined.

It's the most hidden public secret - even more than that current contributions pay current beneficiaries of SS!
