Darn..........we moved 6000 lbs of Pennsylvania Blue Stone from the front of the house to the back of the house. (we rented a fork lift) then went to the local soil store and bought a ton of sand. Brought it home, took down part of the fence, drove the borrowed truck to the back of the house, lifted the hydrolic bed and then shoveled out the sand.

We have a staged construction site ready for someone to come and lay the stone on the patio.

We have no idea when the person who promised to lay it is going to show up. If it doesn't happen within the week, we will go to plan B.

I have to imagine that was a wonderful ride.

80 here today!

Do you use a throttle lock on that scooter? I'm thinking of doing a 530 mile(one way & without trying to bypass Chicago) trip soon. Not sure my right arm and shoulder can handle it, not to mention my old hinny.

Your route sounds like it had a lot better view than the Chicago to St. Louis stretch of my trip.
