koan, did you watch the 3 CEO on Meet the Press today. The CEOs provided a very practical view on the GM bankruptcy, the stimulus package and other economic conditions.

After watching the show, I have strengthened my support for Govt. involvement in universal health care but only a short term involvement in bailing out private companies like GM and programs like the Stimulus plan.

"Think how one would settle child custody cases without good emotional capbilitites."

There are well established child custody guidelines. Child custody cases in most places are decided on the basis of 'best interests of the child'. An overly emotional judge might tend to fall for a display of crocodile tears, or the real tears of a neurotic who does not have the child's interests at heart. A judge lacking in sensitivity would not consider the importance of emotional bonding. A healthy balance of sensitivity to circumstance and well reasoned consideration is always best.

"I consider Scalia and Rhenquist ... I also feel/felt they are/were both sociopaths. "

Why?

Less' reply already covers my response very well. I'd add the minor point that the USSC doesn't decide child custody cases.

And I'd go beyond Less' "Why?" in response to "I also feel/felt they are/were both sociopaths." to see that such a comment reflects more negatively on you than on them.
