Can't make that assumption concerning Iraq. Strategically, Iraq retains significant logistic value from a military viewpoint. The unacknowledged gorillas in the mosque are China, Russia, and Israel. It's a conflict of surrogates; but, such a topic is vast and more suitable for a war-college thesis than a thread discussion -- so I will pass. :^)
