In addition to a disastrous war in Iraq, the mess in NOLA, the deficits, the worst recession since WW II, over the top pork spending, and tax cuts favoring the rich, Bush/Cheney will be noted for the undoing of GM, Chrysler, WAMU, Wachovia Bank, Lehman, AIG, Bear Stearns et al, American companies with a long storied history in this country. No wonder Bush is so quiet......his legacy will be crap and he knows it. And to think, you voted for him twice, sunshine.

And btw you need to learn to spell Sotomayor correctly. After all, she will be a USSC justice fairly soon.

Have a good one!

"Never mind the fact that we had already entered WWII before Pearl Harbor was attacked."

We were officially neutral until then. Now, we did institute Lend-Lease prior to our official entry, but we also were still selling arms and other goods to the Nazis until rather late in the game. In addition, we did provide protection for British convoys in the North Atlantic. But that was as much to help our trade than anything else.

So it is a bit much to claim we had already entered the war. What we did was protect our economic interests.
