I'm fully aware of the history of WWII. My previous statement stands. And nobody in his right mind would argue with the FACT that WWII was won because of US involvement and could not have been won without it. Europe was defeated on every front. As you have pointed out, the Russians were smashed. There was zero chance of Hitler being defeated without the United States. It is odd to me that anyone would even try to make the argument. Churchill sure as hell didn't think it could be won without us. The USSR was broke and incapable of continuing; they had no equipment or means of production, and no capital with which to produce it. The Western Front was critical in keeping the Nazis busy, and the Allied invasions of Africa and parts of Europe (Italy) essentially caused the Germans to be over-committed. Without the US the USSR would have been destroyed. The demands on the Luftwaffe on the Western Front saved USSR's ass, while the allied bombing of Germany further destroyed Nazi's ability to provide materiel. Bottom line: You (and Bentway) are more FOS than ever. When I call someone "stupid" it is because their remarks are highly suggestive of it.
