I think this time its really going to happen. You haven't lived until you've gone 200+ mph on a train. It makes traveling by plane pure crap.

By 2014 bullet trains are expected to travel from Portugal's capital, Lisbon, to Madrid in under three hours.

High-speed lines will eventually stretch from Portugal's Atlantic coast, through France to Britain and Belgium, providing Europe with fast passenger transport to rival air travel.


Can you imagine.....Europe is nearly as big as the US and they have the whole continent pretty much covered.

Oh but we have the biggest defense budget!! Yea!
